One you should treasure, but not as a possession,
Who needs to be loved, not treated with aggression.
Her value is more than all the world’s treasures,
Not just the sum of scale’s unit measures.
She should always be built up, not torn down,
By all the words you speak, when she is around.
She needs to be hugged and not pushed away,
Especially when you are both having a really bad day.
Words spoken to her in haste and anger
Can place her fragile heart in danger.
She should be admired for her boundless love,
And looked upon as a true gift from Above.
Not used as a target for all your frustration,
But held close and kissed with loving admiration.
You should always appreciate her commitment to you,
And not take for granted what she’s given up for you!
Kiss her and love her all that you possibly can,
And don’t be embarrassed to be seen holding her hand.
Treasure each day as if it were the last,
And at the end of your life you won’t be regretting your past.
To take time for you and pursue you passionately
And I promise to love you compassionately
I do seek to understand your needs so deeply
And I promise each day to love you so completely
I will provide a home of love and emotional purity
And I promise love, laughter, honesty and a life where you feel security
I will make time for you, for without you I have no time
And I promise you to cherish, honor, respect, admire and be kind
Time may take us down a path where you need to be taken care of
And I promise to hold you, clean you and continue to admire you with love
If life places pain in your heart I will be there to fill it with love
And I promise each day to pray for our health and happiness from God above
I will awaken each day to see your sweet smile and feel your touch
And I promise to bring you happiness and laughter, I love you so much
I will be there for you each day of my life
And I promise to make you happy for you are my wife
I give you my heart, I love you girl that can’t you see
And I promise to you to be very attentive and caring indeed
I have ran for miles swearing my love to you for life
And I promise to God to honor you, my beautiful wife
I Love you
All my life I’ve waited
Floating, dreaming, wishing
For the day when you would come my way
That day has come
My heart flutters at the sound of your voice
In heaven there can only be a better place
Soaring through the clouds
The wind beating at my skin
Breathing heavy, feeling numb
You’re all I need, my number one
Tears stream down my face, burning my eyes
Happy tears, thankful smiles
Knowing I can hold you, embrace you
Fearless of the unknown, content with life
No longer will I feel the sharpened knife
Of hurt, pain and suffering…
I love you so deeply,
I love you so much,
I love the sound of your voice
And the way that we touch.
I love your warm smile
And your kind, thoughtful way,
The joy that you bring
To my life every day.
I love you today
As I have from the start,
And I’ll love you forever
With all of my heart.
I had walked through life with nothing until you,
until you I knew no pleasure.
And then one day God sent you to me,
to the eye so beautiful: you, my wife, my treasure.
A gift from God, a gift so fine that you can never be measured
A love so fine, so sweet, so kind,
it’s you, my love: you, my wife, my treasure.
I promise to hug and kiss and hold you each day.
I promise a love with devotion that will never ever fade away.
I promise and swear to God above
To show you nothing but my pure love
I will admire the blessing of your boundless love,
Because I know that you are a true gift from Heaven above.
I will not hurt you with my frustrations.
I will hold you close and kiss you with loving admiration.
I will always appreciate your commitment to me,
Give me a chance, for can’t you see?
This is not a game of chance that we play.
It is true love that I swear is committed to stay.
You say that at times you are afraid
This one I can find no rhyme so let me be clear:
Love you endlessly
When we married who would have
thought of the changes in our lives.
We were married one year, one month to
the day when I made you a Marine Wife.
Things were tough, we had only been married a year.
I remember we talked of our future, our love and never fear.
I remember leaving you on that hot summer day.
I remember thinking this was what’s best as I went away.
I was not fearful as I left your mom’s drive.
I was not fearful on that, my first plane ride.
I was not fearful of the DI’s at all.
They pushed and shoved us and made us stand tall.
The DI’s told the married Marines of Jody at home with our wives.
What they were teaching us was to control our tempers,
one day it may save our lives.
What they did to us, it surely did changed your life.
Thirteen weeks away from you, my beautiful wife.
I will tell the truth and will not cover with a lie.
There were nights thinking of you where all I did was cry.
Then that day came, we were given the title of a United States Marine.
I was on the bus, on the plane home to you, which seemed like a dream.
I stepped off the plane; looking for you I did not have to do.
I saw a beautiful smile and glow, I saw nothing else but you.
Into your arms I ran, we kissed like never before.
I could not let you go again, I could not take anymore.
We had a saying in the Corps that is a fact of life.
“The toughest job in the Corps, is that of a Marine Wife.”
Spring as a season
Would be dull and dreary
If you weren’t around
To make it flowery for me
Summer would be no fun
It would be so boring and bland
I wonder how I would survive
Can’t even begin to understand
Winter would be worse
Very gloomy and blue
It would be more horrible
To spend it without you
Every season of my life
Is beautiful with your presence
Without you there would be
No meaning to my existence
I love you
For My Dear Wife,
On This Usual Day;
I Write You This Poem,
In My Own Special Way.
I Wanted To Tell You,
In Words Of My Own;
You’re The Most Precious Person,
That I’ve Ever Known.
You’re The Prettiest Girl,
Than Any I’ve Seen;
Your Body Is Flawless,
So Slender And Lean.
Your Eyes Have That Sparkle,
That I Can’t Live Without;
One Day Without Them,
And I’d Die There’s No Doubt.
And I Just Lose Control,
When I Glance At Your Hair;
Those Curls Are Just Stunning,
So Perfect And Rare.
You’re The Most Caring Person,
That I’ve Ever Met;
There’s No One Like You,
And That I Can Bet.
What Attracts Me The Most,
Is Your Sweet And Kind Touch;
You’re A Gift Sent From Heaven,
And I Love You So Much.
So Hold Me As Close,
As You Possibly Can;
‘Cause Now And Forever,
I Am Your Man.
I dream of your touch
while you are away,
I dream of your smile
all through the day,
I remember the day,
You came into my life,
I dream of the day
I will be your wife.
I dream of the day
I can fall asleep next to you,
I dream of the day
I can say I do.
To be your wife,
To be together for life,
Is a dream I have,
Living, I had no might
To make you hear,
Now, in the inmost night,
I am so near
No whisper, falling light,
Divides us, dear.
Living, I had no claim
On your great hours.
Now the thin candle-flame,
The closing flowers,
Wed summer with my name, —
And these are ours.
Your shadow on the dust,
Strength, and a cry,
Delight, despair, mistrust, —
All these am I.
Dawn, and the far hills thrust
To a far sky.
Living, I had no skill
To stay your tread,
Now all that was my will
Silence has said.
We are one for good and ill
Since I am dead.
